Finnair, the Climate Leadership Coalition (CLC), and H2 Cluster Finland hosted a webinar presenting the results of a new eSAF impact assessment conducted by AFRY. The webinar was held online via Teams on Wednesday 10.6.2026.
The study analyses the economic and employment impacts of developing a domestic eSAF ecosystem in Finland, based on production targets of 60,000 tonnes of eSAF by 2030 and 250,000 tonnes by 2035. The results highlight the potential benefits for Finnish industry, value chains, and job creation, as well as Finland’s role in scaling sustainable aviation fuels in Europe.
In addition to the study findings, the webinar presented policy recommendations aimed at ensuring that eSAF investments and the wider eSAF ecosystem are developed, scaled, and retained in Finland.
