Herkko Plit appointed chair of the board of Hydrogen Cluster Finland
The founding meeting of association Hydrogen Cluster Finland (Suomen vetyklusteri ry) was held on March 25, 2025. The association’s founding members include 80 companies and industry associations operating across various parts of the hydrogen value chain.
Herkko Plit, CEO of P2X Solutions Oy, was elected as the first Chair of the Board. Satu Sipola, VP, Hydrogen and Project Execution at Fortum, was appointed Vice Chair.
“The Hydrogen Cluster Network, launched four years ago, has successfully brought together a strong group of Finnish hydrogen economy experts. However, the operating environment has changed significantly during this time. As an association, we are now in a stronger position to influence both nationally and internationally,” says Herkko Plit.
“The broad base of founding members shows that companies and business organizations see significant growth opportunities in the hydrogen economy and the clean transition,” Plit continues.
“We want to work together with partners and stakeholders to accelerate hydrogen economy investments in and into Finland, and to help build a new export pillar for Finland based on hydrogen.”
