Transparency register

In 2024, Finland introduced a transparency register, becoming the first Nordic country to do so.

The transparency register is used to report activities directed at the Parliament and ministries with the aim of influencing policies and laws, as well as lobbying consultancy. The aim of the register is to improve transparency in decision-making, combat improper influence, and strengthen public trust in government administration and democracy.

H2 Cluster Finland is not a registered association, and thus not required or able to join the official Finnish transparency register. However, we find transparency crucial for public trust and democracy, and we want to publish the same information voluntarily.

The first registration period starts on 1 July 2024. The list of influencing activities and meetings with decision-makers between 1 April and 31 June 2024 will be reported by then.
