ABO Energy is a family business born out of a burning desire to do more in the fight against climate change.
This strong desire unites us all to this day. Together, we are looking far into the future without seeking quick wins. We implement our projects responsibly, from the first land lease agreements to the handover of the completed wind farm. Often, we stay on even after that, taking care of the sustainable maintenance of the wind farm. We are a fair and trustworthy partner who is easy to work with. We want to have a strong presence where we operate. We have over 25 years of international experience and a decade of pioneering work in Finland. We do our work with international professionalism and local understanding, respecting nature and people.
We bring renewable energy solutions to all sectors and strive to limit climate change. In addition to wind power, solar power and energy storage solutions, ABO Wind has been working on hydrogen projects for several years. Hydrogen produced with renewable energy is a cornerstone in the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors, such as industry, transport and backup power generation. We have an existing 20-gigawatt hydrogen project pipeline in Canada, Argentina, South Africa, Tunisia, Spain and Germany. We have started the development of similar projects in Finland as well.
In Finland we are following a variety of project approaches, ranging from the provision of green hydrogen to industrial customers to the production of green hydrogen or its derivatives for export. We develop projects either in an integrated approach including renewable energies and hydrogen production or as provider of renewable energy to 3rd parties. We plan projects both independently and in collaboration with partners.
