Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF)

Green and vibrant economy – The climate roadmap for the forest industry 2035.

The Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) is the advocacy organization for forest industry companies in Finland.

It promotes the forest industry’s competitiveness and profitability by strengthening the industry’s operating conditions and positive image both in Finland and abroad. The success of the forest industry is important for Finland, as forest industry products account for about a fifth of Finland’s exports. The sector is also a significant employer, employing about 42,000 people directly and about 100,000 Finns indirectly. FFIF is made up of 71 member companies that operate in the pulp, paper, paperboard, and packaging industries as well as in the wood products industry.

Hydrogen applications play a growing role in the forest industry’s domains of energy, logistics and products. Therefore, hydrogen related regulation and policy measures are a focal subject of advocacy at FFIF.
